Back to Work I go...with tears in my eyes

There is Erika checking herself out this morning before we left for Maureen's. She wanted to see if she had her cute face on...Oh wait she ALWAYS has her cute face on! Driving to work today knowing that I had to leave my baby was very difficult. I was fighting the tears but the tears won. I kept looking back at her little face and knowing how bad I was going to miss her. I became so attached between being on my own for the week Peter was away and then me being off from work for 10 days.

Mommy can I bring my new toy with me to Maureen's? When I arrived at Maureen's, Erika was all smiles and that made me feel better. She also leaned over to Maureen right away for her to hold her. That made it all better. I just want Erika to be happy...even if I am heart broken. I know she is happy and I love her so I have to let her go a little!

Once I got to work, I was mostly okay. I missed my students and had a ton of fun telling them that my new hair doo is a wig!! HA! In the picture above if you look closely you can see a cat at the other side of the door. That is a neighbors cat that likes to come visit. And Erika likes to hang around with it.
