Tomorrow Peter will be on his own with taking care of Erika for the first full day ever! How exciting right? Maureen is going on a school trip with her daughter and I only have one paid day off left at work so that leaves Daddy! So...to help him out I typed up a brief itinerary of what Erika will expect out of him and when. There is a little humor in the schedule too. I just had to post it because I know that there are other Mommies out there that will get more than a small chuckle out of this! Read on --
Baby wakes up – 8 ounce bottle
Change diaper
About and hour and a half after wake up – feed breakfast *BIB*
Spoon feed apple sauce first
Microwave on paper towel 2 quiche from freezer for 30 seconds
Cut each half in 3 or 4 pieces and give only 4 pieces at a time
Provide snack of your choice.
Offer juice from sippy cup in fridge
Clean baby’s hands and mouth with warm wet paper towel and dry.
Try for a burp out of baby.
Change diaper
Nap at 8:30 or 9:00
Put CD on for baby. Air cleaner on. Hug and pat baby. Provide pacifier. Put in right corner of bed with blanket.
Baby will sleep for 1 ½ hour -- this is the most alone time you will have for the rest of the day Be sure to do house chores, shower, clean high chair and kitchen
Offer 4 ounce bottle
Change diaper and dress baby for day
Play or take baby for walk
At 11:30 or 12:00 *BIB* – feed lunch – microwave Mac & cheese for 30 seconds
Spoon feed sweet potatoes first then use small fork to feed baby a few noodles at a time. Baby can self feed as well
Provide snack of your choice
Play with baby or take walk
Change diaper
Offer 4 ounce bottle
Attempt a nap some where around 1:30 and 2:00
Baby may not need/want another nap
