Okay so let's see what we did today...Erika helped Daddy set up the Christmas lights outside while I went to church to set up the kitchen for coffee hour on Sunday. The weather was so nice today that peter figured he better cash in and get those lights up. They came out great! Erika loves them and so do I.
At night, we took the famous frog tent down in order to make room for the tree. Erika and Daddy worked hard on that tree while I disassembled the frog tent. I felt kinda sad putting the frog tent away because I
remember when
Santa was putting it together last year. But then on the other hand I am kinda hoping it
stays away because there is a lot more room in the
living room and we are going to need the room soon.
Erika has really REALLY become interested in my belly. "Mommy....your belly is getting really big!" "And so is your chest!" She loves to just rub it and then tells me she is going to hug her baby Christopher. And here is the best part yet - she thinks she has a baby in her belly. She lifts her shirt and asks Peter and I if we want to hear her baby. Then she likes to take her belly and press it against my belly. The whole scene is ADORABLE. She really does think there is a baby in her belly!
The tree made it together with not too much hassle and when it is all done I will post pictures of it. This was a
first for the whole family...putting a fake tree together. But after 3 years of real trees we have learned our lesson.
I am already sad that my days with
Erika are coming to an end and I have to go back to work on Monday. I know I should be grateful for the 5 days off and I am but it is still a
heart breaker to have to give her up! I love her more than anything.
