Happy Thanksgiving!

This morning we all got up around 7:30 and slowly prepared for our Thanksgiving Day. Yesterday I finally bought Erika her new toddler bed and so Daddy was very anxious to put it together with her. He is brave how he always does everything with her. I am more the type that would do it when she is sleeping. It requires much more patience his way!
While they started in on the bed, I started in on the special Thanksgiving breakfast. My mother always made a great breakfast and so I try to do the same. It started with some tea and hot chocolate and then some grapefruit. By 9:00 the parade was on. Erika didn't have as much interest in the parade as Peter and I had hoped for. By the way in the first 3 pictures, Erika is holding Thanksgiving flowers for her God Mommy and Aunt Margaret.
Then I made the sunny side up eggs (scrambled for Erika), bacon and raisin English muffins. It was very yummy. The bed was put together at this point and I had a very excited Erika and Daddy on my hands! They were anxious to get that bed in her room and try it out. I had put all her Elmo bedding in the machine and dryer and it was almost ready to be put on.
I didn't get any pictures of her first on the bed but she really LOVES it! She thinks she is hot stuff being able to get up and down by herself. I haven't bought a side rail for it yet. I figured let me see how it goes first. I know she could roll out while sleeping or also turn her room into a party zone at bed time!
Check out that pose with daddy! She did that all on her own. Anyway, after the bed excitement, we took showers and a bath in Erika's case and got ready to head to Aunt Margaret and Uncle Steve's house. Thankfully Erika slept a little bit on the way there. The food was GREAT and it was really nice to see everyone. As soon as we got in the car to come home Erika said "Mommy I want to go back there again." That's always a sign that Erika had a great time! She was very tired by the time we got home and so first night in the new toddler bed went very smooth. But I know better....this was not a real test.
Can you see my 33 weeks prego belly yet? Only 6 weeks to go!
