Sunday's Are Always Sweet

There is Erika decked out in Red, white and blue for church and Labor day weekend. This morning was the usual routine. I actually set my alarm so that we will all be able to get out of the house in time for church. Thank goodness next week we go back to the regular service times and no more early summer times. It is an hour later than during the summer which truly makes a big difference!
Before I tell about our day I had a story from yesterday to share about Erika. I had made the cupcakes for the party while Erika was taking her nap. So when she woke up from her nap and I brought her downstairs, I let her have one. She starts eating it and then says to me "Good job Mommy, good job!" I couldn't believe my ears. It has to be one of the cutest things she has said to me yet!
So after her long nap (which is what she has been doing lately), I fed her some lunch and we went to that new playground that I love...and she does too. Erika is doing unbelievable with the potty. She wears underwear all day. Tells us when she has to go. It's amazing! Just naps and nighttime she wears a pull up. That will take some time to learn. She has not had an accident in so so long and has not had a diaper on in so long either.

I like that wind blowing in the hair picture!

This park has a tire swing that Erika never seems to get to go on. They only have one and it is always occupied. Well today was her day...she was able to get on it and she loved it. I remember loving the tire swing when I was younger too.

While we were at the park, we made arrangements to meet up with Nicky and his Mommy Kristina. Both of the kids were so happy to see each other. Sorry, the picture below was the only one I could get. Nicky is pretty fast moving and it is so difficult to get a picture of the two of them together!
