A New Park!

Erika spent the majority of her day with Daddy. I had made plans to meet my friend Sonnya at school to talk about the computer class that I am teaching this year. I was away longer than I expected and missed Erika like crazy. I wonder if she missed me too. Peter did mention that she asked for Mommy a few times!
After I came home which was around 4:30, I took Erika to the local state park. I didn't like the crowd there at all. There were these little kids like about 4 or 5 years old throwing sand and calling each other some pretty nasty names. Oh and spitting too. I put Erika on the swing for a little bit and then decided I did not want her being exposed to that type of behavior. Not to mention, some of the sand being thrown ended up on my leg too!
So we headed towards another park that I like. Peter and I had noticed some construction recently taking place at this particular park. BUT we had no idea that they completely re-did the whole playground! It is really nice. It's funny how these things excite me so much. It even had the soft ground so that if a kid falls it wouldn't hurt as much.
On the way to the park I yawned (slept terrible last night) and Erika said "Mommy, you need a nap?" I told her yes I did. She is so sweet, always looking out for me. Oh and another thing she did this morning - I was leaving, gave Peter a hug and kiss, and then said to Erika "give Mommy a kiss." Know what she said? "Mommy I want to give the baby a kiss." And she kissed my belly! I have never even told her or suggested that she do that. I was shocked!
Anyway, she had a ton of fun at this playground and talked about it the whole way home. She kept telling me she had fun and wants to go back.

Playing the drums.
