Our Sunday started in the regular way - breakfast, bath and then off to church. Erika's "alarm clock" has adjusted to my work schedule which means when it is the weekend, she doesn't know that she can sleep in a little later. At least this morning she let me sleep till 6:30 where as yesterday morning she was already up at 5:30! She is the type of kid that once she is up - SHE IS UP! Erika loves the whole church routine....getting all dressed up, singing, going with Miss.
Kathy and then today when I had her in the tub she tells me "Mommy I want to bring my Jesus Bible to church." Can you believe it? So sweet of her to think that!

It is almost getting border line too chilly out for her pretty summer dresses. I bet they won't fit next year. It is rare that I can actually get two years out of any of Erika's clothing. She is always growing so much. Not that she was ever bad in church but she is catching on more and more as to how to behave. It is still a handful having her with us for the first part of the service till Sunday school is called but she is improving. I think it is a lot to expect out of a two year old to sit quietly all that time! It is cute, the church calls all the kids up for a children's sermon and Erika (probably one of the youngest...maybe the youngest) goes up front and sits down to listen to the Pastor. Erika is more concerned with watching other kids than really listening to what the Pastor has to say! But she is good. She sits on the steps of the altar with all the other children and stays there till the Pastor is finished.

Then...in the afternoon we went back to church for the annual chicken
bbq. In the picture above you can see Erika with her two closest friends at church. Delaney is on the left and Julia on the right. Delaney is the one who about a year ago lost her Mommy. That whole situation just breaks my heart every time I spend time with Delaney. The three of them were playing catch with
Delaney's Grandma on the front steps of the church.

Sometimes I think I should already have Erika in some kind of part time preschool. She is so social, smart and loves do almost any activity she is presented with. Definitely next school year I will have her is some kind of part time school setting. I love how enthusiastic she looks in the picture above. It was her turn to catch the ball so she had her arms out and ready!

Then, it was time to go spend some time at the craft table. Aunt Judy helped Erika
decorate a corn craft! Now actually that is one thing i can think of that Erika is not too into yet - coloring and crafts. She will do the crafts much more than coloring. She is always excited about doing whatever the craft is but then when it comes time to do it...she doesn't really want to.

Dinner time! The food was great. Chicken, salads and all kinds of good stuff. In the picture above you can see Erika chomping away on an ear of corn. She is just like me because I LOVE corn on the cob!

Below, Erika is very pleased with her yummy orange frosting cupcake! I had an incredible piece of key lime pie and it was homemade. There were tons of desserts. Funny thing is that i am usually a dessert person but with this pregnancy, I am not really that into them. At this point I am 23 weeks...and feeling it! I really should get a belly picture on here!

Playing with the parachute was really fun for Erika. Just check out the happiness on her face! She had such a good time at the church party as she calls it.

Towards the end of the party, all the kids got little presents. Erika got some bible cards and Delaney got bubbles. They both shared with
each other and it was fun to watch them interacting. In the background of the picture below is our church.

What a great day!

Night night!
