Whew...first week of school is over! So how many more weeks are there?? It was a rough week for so many reasons. But I really don't want to complain. I will however, state that it has been EXTREMELY difficult being away from Erika all day. I know I should be grateful for my job and my summer with her...and I am but that doesn't mean it is easy to be away from my girl either!
When we are driving to Fran's in the morning Erika says to me "Mommy you going to work again today?" And I want to just fall apart and cry but I tell her yes and tell her how much fun she will have with Fran. It's very very VERY difficult. She misses Peter like crazy too. He has been seeing her less than me. He
sees her for about 10 minutes in the morning and then due to evening appointments, she is in bed when he comes home.
So being that today is Saturday and has suddenly become such a valuable day to spend with Erika, I try to make her #1 priority. Even that is difficult because I have so much to do for work and then just the regular up keep of the house. AND...Peter had to work again today. Like I said...it hasn't been easy. The fact that I chose to teach two new subjects this year has not exactly helped the situation!
This morning Erika went for what i would call her first real big girl haircut. They even put layers in! She was so cute. I felt a little awkward taking pictures of her while they were doing it, so I didn't but she looked so cute. She
behaved great. I mean she was constantly moving but I think she was excited. It came out so nice. I will take more pictures tomorrow.
I am in the process of growing her bangs out so the front kind of looks the same but the sides and back look so adorable. I wish my hair could look like hers! She has been exhausted right along with Peter and I. Back to school week has been tough on all of us!
