Today Erika and I were invited over to my friend Jo's house from work. She lives in the same town that we both work in. It's so nice to have a friendship outside of being in work.
We arrived at her house at about 1:00 and then walked into town. Jo lives in such a nice location for walking around. Of course from the start, Erika was asking for the park. I think she asks for that EVERY day. But Jo and I had other plans in mind...EAT. We went to Don Ricardo's for lunch, which happens to be one of my favorite places. Jo loves it too. However, Erika was not that into the food. I ordered her some quesadillas and she barely touched them. Usually she eats those.
Erika has always really loved Jo. At the restaurant the two of them were dancing to the music in their seats. I love the look on Erika's face in the two pictures above. She is looking at Jo with such adoring eyes! So sweet.
And then we walked to the park. It was the perfect day out. Sunny and warm but not humid and not hot. Erika made friends with yet another little boy but I can't remember his name. However she still asks for her "boyfriend, John Carlos."
While at the park, the ice cream man showed up and Erika became very excited (of course). Aunt Jo treated all of us to some yummy ice cream. Eventually we walked back to Aunt Jo's house and went home. We truly had a VERY nice day.
