A Great Time With Grandma!

After Erika went to the doctor, we drove to meet Grandma and have a fun day. We met at her job and then went to Erika's favorite...ADVENTURELAND! She was so excited when she saw the rides from the parking lot. Well actually let me back up...she was excited since yesterday that we had plans to see Grandma. And then all day today she kept talking about her and was even telling people at the doctor's office that she was going to see Grandma.

This picture came out a little dark but it is of Erika showing her bracelet that Grandma bought her. It is the bracelet that allows her to ride what she wants for as many times as she wants. Erika was very happy with her bracelet and kept showing us throughout the day. This was the first time that we bought the bracelet and it was worthwhile for sure. In the past we only bought tickets which really limits the fun. Today, Erika didn't have to hold back and trust me - she didn't!

Again it was as if she were a different child because she couldn't get enough of all the rides. She would get on the ride and then start waving to us saying "Hi Grandma...Hi Mommy!" Happy as can be. And then when she got off each one she would say "I did it Grandma, I did it" and the two of them would do a high five.

The weather was perfect and so was Erika's day. I think that she may have had one of the best days of her life. She just kept going on ride after ride. The amazing part to me was that she didn't even have a nap today. In yet she did great. I guess all the excitement kept her going throughout the day. When we finally left it was not by her choice. I had enough and was tired. So we left to get something to eat. Erika was into that too!

We had dinner at Chili's. Erika went to town on her food and even had some corn on the cob. Grandma was quite impressed with Erika's corn on the cob eating skills.

After a yummy dinner we went to Walmart. Erika was definitely starting to show some signs of being tired. Can't blame her, it was about 8:00 at this point. She then managed to have Grandma buy her a special treat. But that story will have to wait till the next post!

Any way, if I said we had a great day it wouldn't be enough, maybe AWESOME day? It was great to see Erika have so much fun and I was happy my mother was a part of it.

Oh and the picture below is of Erika playing the fishing game. This was really cool because they let the kids fish till they catch one and then they win a prize. Really cute! And she caught one!
