Erika was all dressed up and ready for the party! She was very excited to go. We made a little bucket of goodies to bring over and she was excited to give that to Laura. However, after being there for less than 5 minutes, she was already telling me that she wanted to go home! It reminded me of when she tells me she wants to come out shopping with me but then before we even get to the store she tells me she wants to go home.
At first she was very clingy and wouldn't let Peter or I put her down. But the this woman came around with the shish ka bobs and she loosened up right away. She LOVED them! They had a piece of chicken sausage, black olive, basil and tomato. She ate the olive and chicken and then Peter and I would est the rest. She even called the lady back over at one point to have another one!
Unfortunately she was getting bored quick and started finding creative ways to entertain herself. She was climbing under the table, under the chairs and just basically being a kid. But peter and I were constantly telling her "no Erika, stop Erika, don't do that Erika." And it was not much fun any more so unfortunately we had to leave early...very early. We had plans on going back after Erika went to sleep but she actually didn't go to sleep till 10:15 .
So we made the long trip home and figured out what we should do next. It was still pretty early and we were trying to keep her up so she could see some fireworks.We decided to take her to the local carnival which is what we did last year too!
