2 Year Old Check-up

Today Erika had her 2 year old well visit with the doctor. She did amazing. She was so friendly with all the staff and doctor that the one nurse said to me "who is this child and what did you do with Erika?" Erika has been a challenge through most of her doctors visits and usually cries as soon as she see's the nurse. But today she was all talkative and even saying thank you!

She now weighs 33 pounds which makes her heavier than 90 percent of the children her age. She gained 8 pounds since January! I can say that she loves to eat. We have a healthy eater on our hands! And her height is 36 inches which makes her taller than 95 percent of the children her age. She grew 2 inches. With her height and weight, it is no wonder why she does not really fit into the typical size a child her age would fit into! The doctor always reminds me that it is great that her percentages are consistent. Of course she is going to weigh more than most children her age because she is taller than most of them too! Today they did her height and weight on the regular big kid scale. That was the first time. She used to be weighed on the infant scale. Awwww...my little baby is growing up!
She did beyond great on her 2 year old evaluation. The doctor said all her scores exceed what is expected of her. I had a nice talk with the Dr about various topics and then we left. It was a very pleasant Dr visit.
