After our beach trip, Erika was more than ready for a nap. So we came home, she took a bath and a nap and the we all went to one of her favorite parks. But to make the day even better for her we stopped at the store for some ice cream to bring to the park. Erika's was completely dripping all over the place but as long as it wasn't pointed out to her then she really didn't seem to mind! Our matching shirts (which I LOVE) are all from Peter's mom. Erika was excited that we all had the same thing on.
Good thing I brought the canister of wet ones with us because she really needed it. We had the whole playground to ourselves which always makes for a fun time. Well then again, it is fun when there are a few kids for her to play with too. She was funny because everything she would climb up on she would turn to Peter and I and say "Look at me ...look at me!"
She is doing great being a climber! Nothing seems to hold her back. I am so impressed with how she climbs right up various things. She is still a bit nervous on the wobbling bridge that they have at this particular playground. Oh and another benefit of having the playground to ourselves...Mommy and Daddy can go on and play too!
We only stayed at the park for about an hour because we needed to come home and get ready for Jason and Laura's party (our next door neighbors). Erika loves Jason and talks about him all the time. So for once she wasn't too upset about leaving the playground because she was excited about the party. The weather was so perfect today. Warm, but not miserable. And best of all the sun was out.
And so...we went home and got changed from our playground gear to our party gear. Next post...party and after party! But here is a picture of her waiting to go to the party...
