Today marks Erika's second Thanksgiving. The day started out difficult for her because she has been having a lot of intestinal problems. Last night she was up till 11:30 and then up again at 5:30 this morning. Mommy and Daddy are so way beyond exhausted at this point. 
Although I am exhausted I did give some thought to all that I am thankful for and of course when I thought of what I am thankful for I thought of Erika. Erika has brought so much happiness and joy to Peter and my lives that it is unbelievable! I sit in awe sometimes and just watch her. She truly is like having a special gift to open each day. With Erika in our lives there is always something to look forward to and always a reason to keep going. Erika is such a precious gift in our lives.
I am also thankful that Erika has such an incredible father. I can whole heatedly say that Peter makes a wonderful father and Erika absolutely adores him. He has tremendous patience with her, is creative, energetic, fun and so loving with her. They play on the floor, go outside, look at pictures on the computer and water the plants. I feel thankful that my daughter has such an involved and loving father.
I wanted Erika to wear her new dress from her Grandma (my mother) today but you know how Grandma's are...everything is big so they can grow into it! So Erika will have to wait to wear her adorable new green dress.
