Church Members

Not only did Erika try out her new winter coat, but her Mommy and Daddy officially became members of the local congregational church! So exciting and such a positive event is our lives. Erika never made it out of the house with the coat on because we all decided it wasn't exactly chilly enough this morning to wear it. But oh my goodness, does she look adorable in it or what? The picture makes me smile because she looks almost lost in that coat! So warm and cozy.First of all, look in the background of this picture! Oh my goodness, that's our living room completely transformed into Erika's playroom. The ceremony at church for receiving us as new members was very nice and touching. We also received bibles and a new member certificate. I am so glad that we are raising Erika in a church. And the fact that this particular church has such a strong youth program is even better! After church Judy kept saying that we need to go out and celebrate so instead I invited her over for a really nice dinner.Erika stuffing her face with yummy chicken cutlet, stuffing, corn and cranberry sauce. Then we finished off the dinner with a warm piece of pumpkin pie each. It was a nice dinner with Aunt Judy and I am glad that we had her over. Erika absolutely loves her. Judy teases me because I am always telling her and Peter what the plan will be for whatever we are doing so Judy says "Aye Aye Caption" and salutes me. Now she has Erika doing it too! Very funny. Then after dinner I sat these two down with the Target toy catalog that Erika (mommy) has doggy eared all the pages of toys she wants to ask Santa for! Aunt Judy got a good laugh out of all the $60.00 toys Erika wants! It was a very nice night and now I have a ton of things to do. I LOVE THIS PICTURE! Everyone should have a neighbor like Aunt Judy!
