Today Erika celebrated her Daddy and how much fun he is. We started the morning with some gifts. Erika gave Daddy some really cute stuff, A stepping stone that says "I Love You!" on top and then there is a drawing of a Daddy and a little girl - underneath the people it says Daddy and Erika, a #1 Dad shirt which he proudly wore today and an engraved key chain. Erika hand made the wrapping paper too. I should have taken a picture because it came out really cute. I dipped her hands in red and blue finger paint and we made hand prints all over the white paper!
Then we met up with Grandma and Grandpa at a nice diner for a late breakfast. We haven't been out for breakfast in a long time and that was a great treat. It was crowded in yet peter managed to get us a table VERY quick! Look how happy Grandpa is in the picture above. Oh and Erika's shirt says "If all else fails...ask Grandpa!" I told her that it says "I love Grandpa" because I felt she could understand that better.
Erika did pretty well at the diner considering it was three hours past her nap time. She did fall asleep in the car on the way home. Peter says that she was so well behaved because she likes seeing Grandpa and the two of them were sitting right next to each other. We had a great time at the diner. While we were all together we also celebrated Grandma's birthday because that is tomorrow. We had a present for her as well as one for Grandpa.
The rest of the day was pretty routine. A funny thing about Erika is that I had practiced with her to say "Happy fathers Day" to Peter and yet when it came down to actually doing it...she refused! I can't figure her out!

Hi Erika , Grandpa was very happy to see you, We had fun playing at the diner. Grandpa was happy to see mommy & daddy too.
