It's Saturday!

Erika must have been so excited about today being Saturday because she woke up at 5:15! Which means I have been up since that time too! She has had me spoiled on previous weekends with her 8:30 wake up. My body was like "grrr....oh man!" We let Daddy sleep a little extra because he had work today.
So we went downstairs and started out by cuddling on the couch. Then at about 5:45 we baked some cookies with pumpkins on them. It wasn't even light out yet! I thought to myself "I bet I am the only one up in the neighborhood baking cookies with a 2 year old at this hour!" The cookies came out great and she had fun making them. I wasn't fully awake and so i forgot to take pictures.
Eventually daddy got up and went to work. Then Erika and I headed out to get a bagel. There is a really nice place over here that we can go to and sit down and just spend time with each other. It also helps that there is a huge television that usually has children's shows on to entertain Erika. We were there by about 9:00. It's amazing how much you can get done so early when you are up at 5:15!
Check out Erika with her two pumpkins that Daddy grew for her. Actually we had three but we already cut the one up for roasted pumpkin seeds. Erika thinks it's so cool that Daddy actually grew her some pumpkins in her backyard!
The deli that we went to for the bagel is connected to "the turkey farm." So after breakfast Erika and I went to visit them. Don't know if I can actually have turkey ever again! They were so cute and Erika really fell in love with them. She said to me "Mommy I love those turkeys." "I want to hold them." "I want to kiss them." "I want to hug them." And then the best is that she thinks that all of them have their tongue hanging out because of their necks!

We went to the outlets to look for shoes for Erika to wear to church. I did get one pair but they are pink. I only bought them because they were on clearance. So really I still need to get another pair because pink will not match with everything. We had a great time out shopping. Eventually it was home for a nap for both of us. Before we knew it, Daddy was home. The rest of the day was spent just having some family time.
