So there is my little Nemo. We had a nice Halloween. Peter and I were very cautious about promoting what kids actually do on Halloween because we are both not big supporters. We feel that the longer we can put off Erika collecting a bag full of candy...the better. We actually made some plans for the afternoon. The idea was to have Erika take her afternoon nap and then head into town for some festivities. Well anyone with kids knows that plans and kids just doesn't mix. Erika never took her nap and so we headed into town with a glassy eyed tired Erika. Where we went there were some games and tons of kids dressed up and trick or treating at the stores. It was cute and fun but we really didn't stay long because there wasn't that much to do. When we came home we went trick or treating to the 5 surrounding houses. Erika had a great time. She calls the candy she collected her "presents" which is super cute. "Mommy where did you put my presents?" So she thinks that all these people gave her presents...I love it! To add to that cuteness, Erika wanted to go inside each house that we went to. She would invite herself in. But we only went in next door at Jason's house. She is a funny one! VERY VERY social. We did allow her some candy but not too much just enough to not be really strict parents! I know next year she will be even more into the whole thing than she was this year. And next year we will be carting a 10 month old around with us too. Now that is SCARY! Knocking at Linda's house. "Knock...knock Linda." Linda's gave out some yummy popcorn balls, crackers and a bunch of other great stuff.
Checking out the goodies gathered.
Carol made such cute bags with all her goodies in it.
That's a very happy Erika because we allowed her to have the gummy fruit snacks!
Choosing a butterfinger...for Mommy!
Erika got the beanbag in the hole three out of three times!
