What a beautiful night (yet freezing) at church. It was called "A Night in Bethlehem." Before I tell about that I wanted to mention how special it was this morning in church because Peter and I were chosen to light the two advent candles on the advent wreath in front of the congregation. It was so sweet of the Pastor to ask us to do that and we were honored...and nervous!

We invited Michelle and her family to come along. And actually this event was a combined effort from her church as well as ours. The night started at 5:00 pm and there was a Christmas pageant outside retelling the night when Jesus was born. It was performed up on a hill and by children about 3rd grade and up. It was beyond beautiful. There was singing, and live music with instruments. It truly was one of the nicest things I have ever seen.

Then there was a huge tree lighting which was beautiful as well. Being that it was below 30 degrees and the wind was howling - we were all anxious to get inside. Inside the church was set up like the town of Bethlehem. There were all these booths set up like a jewelery booth, bread, incense, dreidel making and more. They also had cookies and hot chocolate.

That's Erika working hard on making her dreidel. So cute. Aunt Judy helped a lot and so did Michelle while I took the pictures! The men (Michelle's husband JC and Peter) were back at the table talking.

The crew working hard on those dreidels! See how short I got my hair cut on Saturday?? Six inches down and I love it!
