WOW....what a surprise!

On Wednesday Erika got a very large box delivered to our house from Uncle Paul, Aunt Kristina and cousin Victoria. We couldn't tell her right away that the box was for her because with every thing being so busy lately, we knew we couldn't open it till the weekend. So we just kept telling her that it is Mommy's box. Eventually I broke down and told her that was her box from Uncle Paul & Aunt Kristina. Well that was the end of it because from that point on she would attack Peter and I when one of us would come home to open her box.
It turned out that Saturday was the day of the big blizzard. A PERFECT day to open such a large present! Of course first I had to do a photo shoot. It isn't every day that such a large box comes to the house for Erika. We already knew what it was from the packing slip and outside of box but she didn't know yet. She was so super excited.
After one more picture, Daddy and Erika finally opened the box and guess what was inside???
Oh my goodness! A TRAIN TABLE! I really wanted to get Erika that but for various reasons didn't do it. She kept saying "Look...it's trains, it's trains." I think that Daddy and Erika started putting it together at about 9:30 in the morning. I had to help out with various distractions so that Daddy could get some of the assembly accomplished. It came in about 5,000 pieces!
And finally after Erika woke up from her nap at 3:30 the train table was complete! It is so cool. It has flashing lights on the bridge, makes sounds on the bridge, makes sounds when the train passes the train station and when it goes through the tunnel. There is a gas station and a crane that really picks things up. It has an inner and outer track. It is a dream come true in Erika's train land! She totally LOVES it! When she first came down the stairs she said "MY TRAIN TABLE!!!"
It has already provided so much fun and entertainment for her....and us. Mommy and Daddy love it too. I think the train table will be filling the space where the frog tent used to go. Right now the tree is there but that will come down eventually. It really is an amazing toy for her.

Erika likes to make the train really long and then slowly pull it around the track, which is very hard to do. I love how she plays trains and also plays Mommy with her dolls. That's nice and well rounded! Anyway, Erika is THRILLED with her new train table.
THANK YOU UNCLE PAUL, AUNT KRISTINA & COUSIN VICTORIA! That was so nice of you!
