What an exciting day! Today, Erika's Grandma came over for some more Christmas fun. We met up nice and early so that we could have a full day together. First we went to my last sonogram appointment. Everything is looking good with Baby Christopher. He currently weighs 6 pounds 12 ounces and is predicted to weigh 7 pounds 4 ounces at birth. Erika was 6 pounds 6 ounces, so they are both pretty close in weight. The woman who did the sonogram couldn't believe how active he was either. So much more active than Erika was.

Then we went back to our house to open gifts. The pictures I am posting seem to be out of order. If you are wondering what did Erika get from her Grandma, the easier question would be, what didn't Erika get from her Grandma! I think she may have got a sampling of everything!

There she is modeling her new chef apron, hat and pot holder. My mother and I couldn't believe how much time Erika actually spent opening all her gifts. She would open each one and then ask me to take it out of the package. Then she would actually play with whatever it was for about 20 minutes or more till we would remind her that she had more to open. Even the clothing...she wanted to try each piece on. That's why she has different tops on in the pictures!

Usually kids like to go crazy opening all their presents but Erika sure took her time. It basically took her almost the entire visit to open all her gifts! It was nice though because then Grandma was able to see Erika enjoy each one.

As you can see, Erika got quite the food set. She loves that because she likes to pretend all the time that she is cooking for Peter and I. She has a toy microwave that she heats everything up for us in...even if she is serving us a bottle of ketchup!

When she opened the Dora calendar she actually wanted to look through all the pictures...not one time but two! She makes me laugh because she does things that I just don't expect a child of her age to do.

She also got a cash register in which Grandma taught her how to call for a pretend price check. That's another funny thing to watch her do!

A diaper bag for all her dolls bottles, diapers, toys, blankets and so on. She will need that one because Grandma also brought TWIN babies for Erika to care for. Good thing she got that double stroller from Santa!

A doctor set which she really seems to love. She always says to me "Mommy I want to do your doctors appointment." And then she gets out all the stuff from the toy set.

There she is doing a doctors appointment on one of her dolls!

A new bedding set, which is great because of the fact that I just set up Baby
Christopher's bedding. I am trying so hard for her to not feel left out or jealous. So it is nice that now they both have new bedding.

There she is testing it out too. We had a great day. We had pizza too which always makes for a great day. We watched the movie Up together which happens to be one of my all time favorite movies. It was so nice for Erika to have that time with her Grandma. I wonder if this was the last of the Christmas gatherings finally???
